Sun Hang Do's Annual May Black Belt & Color Belt Tournament took place on May 30, 2009 in Coquitlam. More than 150 competitors challenged themselves by competing in up to 5 Divsions including Patterns, Weapons, Sparring, Yeh Dol Sool Sparring, and Stand Up Grappling. The Grand Champion of this years tournament was Mark Murdoch, who achieved this coveted title for the 2nd time. The Black Belt Demo Team put on an impressive demonstration, as did the Instructor Drumming Team. One of the many highlights was the Graduation of the 4th Instructor Club Class, as they reached another goal in becoming future Sun Hang Do Instructors. A big congratulations for all the new Black Belts and Certified Black Belts who were also recognized during the Main Event celebration. Watch the video below to see highlights from the tournament.
