On November 22, 2008 Sun Hang Do celebrated it's 17th Annual Championship Games at BCIT in Burnaby. The Games brings together the entire Sun Hang Do family for an exciting competition where students from all the Sun Hang Do schools demonstrate their skills in patterns, weapons, sparring, Eh Do Sool sparring and a new division-stand up grappling. The Tournament was highlighted by the main event, which featured the Masters, Instructors, the Black Belt Demo Team and over 100 black belts in a group demonstration.
Spectators witnessed Sun Hang Do's Black Belt certification and testing ceremony. An inspiring performance from the competition finalists wowed the crowd as this years winner Leanne Ens, was presented the Grand Champion patch.The Children's Wish Foundation "Give a kid a break" board breaking booth was a great success with spectators and participants raising money and breaking boards for this great charity. Overall the event was another huge success that once again helped to bring together and strengthen the family spirit of Sun Hang Do.
