Past Event: 14th Annual Sun Hang Do Championship GamesThe 14th annual Sun Hang Do championship games held at BCIT in December 2005 was a successful and exciting event for both the competitors and the spectators. Over 350 students competed from Sun Hang Do schools across the lower mainland, attracting an audience of over 2000 people. Medals were awarded in divisions including sparring, weapons , patterns, and breaking. Showcasing the various techniques of Sun Hang Do, the main event featured Black Belt, Instructor and Master demonstrations. Displays of incredible sword cutting, brick smashing, high flying board breaking delighted spectators of all ages. Empty hand patterns, various weapons, as well as self-defence techniques of Sun Hang Do were also exhibited with great intensity. Included in the Main Event was the ceremony where students who successfully completed their Black Belt testing received their belt or certification from Grand Master Kang. This years games were exceptional because Sun Hang Do gained two new Masters. Master Ben Ang and Master Bryan Kinney achieved the rank of Master and participated in the beautiful Sun Hang Do Masters ceremony in front of the huge crowd. Congratulations our new Masters and to all the new Black Belt and Certification recipients!
